Rise Against: ‘It Gets Better’

Rise Against just released a music video for their Endgame song “Make it Stop (September’s Children)” in support of the It Gets Better Project. The video narrates the lives of three bullied teens, and their ultimate perseverance and success by believing in themselves.

The project’s mission is powerful: to let LGBT youth know that the oppression they face “gets better,” and to remind everyone else of the hardships many young people endure.

Many LGBT youth can’t picture what their lives might be like as openly gay adults. They can’t imagine a future for themselves. So let’s show them what our lives are like, let’s show them what the future may hold in store for them. (via www.itgetsbetter.org)

Celebrities like Lady Gaga, Tom Hanks, Kathy Griffin, Ke$ha, Kim Kardashian and Justin Bieber have all contributed the project. President Obama even spoke out in support of the project, too. Find all the It Gets Better videos here.
