So, in the state of Tennessee, lawmakers are pushing to pass a law that would ban teachers from talking about homosexuality in schools. The law is being called the “Don’t Say Gay” law and those pushing for it are saying that it is “neutral” and that discussions about sexuality should be decided on by families, not by the schools.

OF COURSE, they are not moving to ban teachers from talking about heterosexuality in any way, shape or form, so…how exactly is this “neutral?”

Well, in response to all of this, the group FCKH8 has started a “Say-Gay-A-Thon” to help raise money to help advocacy and equality groups in TN fight the bill, which has passed the Senate but must still pass in the state House. And YOU can help with just the click of a button or two, but don’t take it from me. Watch this video.

(Be warned, it’s kind of full of explatives.)

In case you decided not to watch the video for language purposes, here’s the deal: go to the FCKH8 website and “Like” the video and/or send it out on Twitter. For every “Like” and Tweet, FCKH8 will donate $0.25 towards fighting the bill, up to $25,000. And okay, $0.25 might not seem like that much, but let’s face it, all you’re required to do is hit “Like” on Facebook. 31,792,226 people have “Liked” Farmville…I’d like to think we can get 100,000 people to “Like” equality.
