Question of the Day: What Do You Consider Rude?

First things first. This post is mega late. I’ve been busy doing things and junk and stuff. My apologies to you all. Let’s get to it. All hail Bon Qui Qui, Patron Saint of Calling Securrrity:

I kind of wish everyone had to work a customer service job for year in their life. You know how some countries have manadory military service? Well, customer service needs to be one of those things too.

I’ve had a few customer service jobs in my life and the same thing happens all the time: People that work in customer service aren’t there so you can make them jump through hoops of fire with your sad requests.

I get that people look down on those in the customer service arena for whatever reason but no. That shit is not cute when we are trying to help you and you are blabbing on your phone, holding up the line as you scramble to get it together. It’s not cute when you come through a store and hurricane the t shirt section I just folded and put away. It’s also not cute when you show up and bring your bad attitude to our stores. You are in Forever 21 so stop acting like a diva that found a red M & M in your GREEN M & M’s ONLY bowl. I do not think so. I could say more but you get the general idea.

If the person helping you out is being rude, that’s a different story. I kind of used to get away with a lot because I would throw back the rude-ittude when people threw it at me.

One time, when I worked at Starbucks, some lady was on her phone and I skipped her when she gave me the “shush” finger. She tried to get all crazy with me but the regulars were all “OH NO SHE JUST DIDN’T!” She was kindly dismissed. I have tons of horrible Starbucks customer stories but it’s not time for that. It’s your turn.
