Mariah Carey And Nick Cannon Finally Reveal Twins’ Names
After a bit of teasing on Twitter in the early morning hours on Tuesday, Mariah Carey FINALLY revealed the names of her newborn twins with Nick Cannon. True to form, Mariah’s twins’ names both begin with the letter “M” (Mimi’s fave letter!).
Their son’s name is Moroccan Scott Cannon. The top tier of Mariah’s New York City apartment is called the Moroccan room, because of its Moroccan-inspired decor. It’s also where Nick proposed to Mariah! Scott is Nick’s middle name, as well as his grandmother’s maiden name.
Their daughter’s name is Monroe Cannon. Monroe has no middle name because Mariah herself doesn’t have one, says her rep. Monroe is named after Marilyn Monroe, one of Mariah’s biggest inspirations. In fact, Mariah owns a white piano that once belonged to Marilyn.
The twins were born on Saturday in Los Angeles.
Mariah’s rep Cindi Berger tells CNN, “It has been a long, emotional journey for this family, and I couldn’t be happier for all of them.”
