Disney Stars and Their Tatts

DS 1. Miley Cyrus

Miley’s newest tattoo, shown in the picture below, depicts a large dream catcher on her ribs. This is the newst tatt added to Cyrus’s collection (along with the heart on her finger, ‘Just Breathe’ on her ribs, and ‘LOVE’ on her inner ear).

Personally, I feel Cyrus is merely trying to rebel against her DS image and grow up. She doesn’t realize young girls in princess tiaras watching re-runs of Hannah Montana still look up to her. This careless behavior is impacting them in a negative way. There is a way to grow out of the DS “Role Model” image (just look at Ashley Tisdale, she is no longer a DS, and has revoked the DS title slowly and gracefully). Cyrus needs to grow up, and remember she isn’t impressing anyone with her tattoos and bong hits.

DS 2. Demi Lovato

After DS Demi Lovato went to rehab for depression and cutting, the words “Stay strong” were tattooed onto her wrist, shown in the picture below.

I’m not a big fan of Lovato, but this tattoo seems to be more meaningful than Cyrus’s choices. Lovato doesn’t seem to want any attention from her tatts, and this one is more subtle than the large dreamcatcher Cyrus inked into her side.

DS 3. Selena Gomez

DS Selena Gomez has tattooed a small Christian cross on her inner wrist. This is the most subtle tatt seen out of the three DS’s.

I am a fan of Gomez. She is handling her DS status and “Role Model” title the best out of the three stars shown in this article. She stays out of trouble, and positively interacts with her young fans. This tattoo suits Gomez well.
