Angela Bassett Spills: ‘Waiting To Exhale’ Sequel Is Happening
It’s been 15 years since the flick Waiting To Exhale came out, but better late than never: a sequel is in the works! The 1995 drama based on the Terry McMillan book of the same name will have a follow up very soon, as author Terry McMillan wrote a sequel to the book called Getting Happy.
Waiting To Exhale star Angela Bassett announced the news of the sequel on The Talk yesterday. “[Terry McMillan] wrote ‘Getting To Happy’ and she’s written the screenplay … I’m talking Loretta [Devine], Lela [Rochon], Whitney, Forrest [Whitaker] is working on the script now.”
Hold up! All the main cast members are going to be in it, as in Loretta Devine, Whitney Houston, Forrest Whitaker, and Angela Bassett herself?! This should be a GOOD one!
