5 Memorable Performances From Last Night’s 2011 Billboard Music Awards

Britney gets a kiss, Ke$ha lets out her inner “Animal,” and Cee Lo flips out during his performance – all on last night’s Billboard Music Awards telecast! The awards show, which only came back this year since its cancellation in 2007, has returned and found a new home on the ABC network. Back with a vengeance, the show featured a number of performances last night, some more memorable than others.

Here are the top five most memorable performances from last night’s awards show:

Cee Lo Green

Donning blinged out shades, coat and piano, Cee Lo didn’t fail to put on a rockin’ show, playing a medley of his tracks which started off with “Crazy” and included “F*ck You“. He ended his set suspended in mid-air, completely vertical, along with his piano. Wowzas!

Ke$ha

Ke$ha shows that she can actually sing, performing her hits “Animal” and “Blow“.

Black Eyed Peas

BEP play a medley of their hits, including “Just Can’t Get Enough” and “I Gotta Feeling“.

Rihanna and Britney Spears

Hotties Rihanna and Britney Spears team up for a performance of their remix of RiRi’s “S&M“.

Last but definitely not least:

Beyonce’s Tribute/Performance

Beyonce, whose performance was straight up FIERCE, was first saluted by the best of the best including First Lady Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Bono, Stevie Wonder, and Barbra Streisand – proving she is indeed the “Queen Bey”! Her powerful performance of “Run The World (Girls)” included an army of dancing female soldiers. The song’s lyrics were delivered with such force, the performance ended with a standing ovation.
