Harry Says No To ‘Harry’: Daniel Radcliffe Urges J.K. Rowling To Not Write Another ‘Harry’ Book

After ten years of playing Harry Potter onscreen, we don’t blame Daniel Radcliffe for being ready to move on from the role. The Harry Potter actor admits he got antsy once he heard rumors of author J.K. Rowling penning yet another Harry book.

According to CELEBUZZ, when Daniel heard the rumors, he “frantically texted the Harry Potter author in the middle of the night” to clear up the confusion and get the right answer.

“I was worried! I texted her. I said, ‘Look, is this true? Are you writing another book?!’ She wrote back that she was so pleased with my performance in Harry Potter 7: Part 1 that as a reward, she promised to never write another book about Harry,” Daniel says.

With the franchise ending this July with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Daniel admits he’s ready to take the next step in his career.

“I’ve been so busy with How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying that I haven’t been thinking about Harry. In a few months, I’ll have to flip the switch and get back into Potter mode for a few days, but right now there isn’t time to be nostalgic about it,” he said.

What he will be doing as the next step in his career: NOT waking up at 4AM to watch the Royal Wedding.

Are you bummed Harry Potter will be ending come July?
