Lindsay Lohan Surveillance Video Released

It was discovered the other day that the surveillance video tape that allegedly shows Lindsay Lohan caught in the action of stealing a $2,500 necklace had surfaced and was sold to a media outlet by the owner of Venice jewelry store Kamofie and Co. Today the footage has surfaced and it’s been revealed that Entertainment Tonight has exclusively obtained the video, posting images onto its website.

The video, obtained by The Associated Press and licensed to Entertainment Tonight shows four different camera angles and is 42 minutes in length. Lindsay, who is seen accompanied by a male companion, was dressed in shorts and hiking boots as she tried on several jewelry pieces.

The actress was charged with one count of felony grand theft in connection with the stolen goods. Lindsay and lawyer Shawn Holley have maintained her innocence.

On one hand, the video could further embarrass Lindsay, who left rehab in early January, after months of trying to resolve her legal woes so she can repair her tainted image and revive her career.

On the other, the prosecution’s case against her is in jeopardy, now that its key witness has made such a money-hungry move. In the past, Lindsay’s team has suggested she was set up, and as the opportunistic jeweler walks off with thousands before the case is even tried, the store’s claim that they were victims of theft weakens. She just may have gotten the luckiest break of her life.

Only time will tell.

Entertainment Tonight will be airing the controversial footage on its show tonight.

Do you think Lindsay will serve jail time for stealing, or will the jewelry store’s money hungry-move leave her scott free?
