Twilight Fan Seeks ‘Thinspiration’ For World’s Ugliest Tattoo

Ah, ‘Thinspiration.’ Also known as ‘Thinspo’ it’s a cornerstone of the pro-ana movement, those people who claim that anorexia is not a disease, it’s a perfectly valid lifestyle choice. These are also people who sometimes argue that because Ghandi fasted, anorexia is totally okay.

RIGHT.

Anyway, mostly thinspo is comprised of pictures of skinny women. Sometimes skinny to the point of looking unhealthy. But a 49 year old woman in Britain has found herself some extremely, um, creative thinspiration.

Twilight.

Oh, Twilight. Is there nothing you can’t do? Other than, you know, be well-written?

According to The Daily Mail, Cathy Ward has gone from a size 24 to a size 10 because of her love for When Sparklepires Attack. In her case, at least, the reason doesn’t seem to be any sort of body dysmorphia or self-hatred (unless you count the kind of self-hatred that leads to a 49-year-old woman being obsessed with Twilight). No, it’s because she wants to be able to show off her Twilight tattoo.

BRACE YOURSELVES.

That is 22 hours in an artist’s chair. It cost £2,000.

That is a lot to pay for that kind of ugly.

Okay, okay, maybe it’s not entirely fair for me to judge her. I mean, in the end, she found the motivation to get herself active and meet her goal. I really shouldn’t point fingers since I began working out back in the day due to inspiration from WWE Divas (specifically Ivory, Chyna and Lita). And really, if you find something that motivates you like that, more power to you. The world would be boring if we were all the same.

HOWEVER: while it’s great she found this inspiration, it’s still kind of, you know, CREEPY. And smacks of being unhealthy. Especially when you find out that she has even more plans regarding her weight loss and ink:

She plans to save £2,000 more to spend another 12 hours under the needle as she eclipses her whole torso with the gothic tribute.

‘There are still a few bits to do. I am going to get my arms done before my 50th birthday in summer.’

‘I love Robert Pattinson. I want to tone up so I can get his character Edward Cullen on my stomach.’

Cathy, who has been married 18 years, hopes to meet the films’ stars in the flesh so she can flash her portraits with pride.

She added: ‘I have approached the fan club and I am trying to get them to let me go to the premiere of the fourth film Breaking Dawn.’

I…am at a total loss for words. And that is saying something.
