Ahoy lovers of teenage dramedies! If your palms are sweating and eyes are twitching like all of ours here at Buzznet in blissful anticipation for the long awaited US premiere of Skins on MTV, then you just crashed the right party! We’ve all been watching the original Skins (UK) for 4 seasons now, all the while with fingers crossed that one day we would have our very own Skins in the US of A…and now that its premiere is less than a week away, we know that we truly live in a land where anything is possible.

While we here at Buzznet feel blessed with the arrival of Skins, we are faced with a new dilemma – and it’s a biggie… We are in major need of a resident Skins expert! Actually TWO of them! Could this be you?
BLOG THE PREMIERE OF SKINS ON MTV WITH BUZZNET
You could be chosen to be Buzznet’s Official Skins’ Blogger with your own weekly feature!
DETAILS:
Buzznet is looking for 2 resident Skins experts to report on the show each week for us!
– The first is someone who will watch the show religiously each week with a critical eye and recap the episodes for all of Buzznet to enjoy.
– The second is someone who is passionate about the show and its hot cast and will blog weekly about them whether it be news stories, interviews, their fashion, events they’ve attended, photo shoots, etc. — basically keep tabs on the 9 key cast members and scour the web to tell us all we need to know about them. If you think either of these sound like something right up your alley, then here’s what to do:
– Sign up for Buzznet and create a profile (if you don’t already have one)
– Join the I love Skins Group by clicking HERE.
– Watch the Skins premiere on Monday Jan.17 at 10 PM ET/PT
– After the show, create either your best recap of the premiere episode OR blog about your favorite star of the show including background information on them and current news bits. Include photos and be sure to bring your wit and wicked sense of humor to the pieces.
*** These can be done as a journal post, a gallery of photos or a video. *** – “Tag” your piece with “skins” and “skinsexpert” AND “+Group” your post to the I Love Skins Group
Your entry must be posted no later than Jan. 18 at 5pm PST. Entries will be judged on writing skills, originality and popularity, so be sure to share your post with your friends and family. Tweet it, put it on Facebook, promote it any way you want, but encourage your friends to buzz and comment on your entry!
We will review all the entries and the two people that blow our socks off will be invited to be a weekly featured Skins Expert for Buzznet. Two winners will be chosen and notified by end of day Thursday, Jan. 20 and their pieces will be featured on the homepage of Buzznet Friday, Jan. 21. The winners will also become official BUZZNET correspondents for SKINS and will be featured each week on the front page of Buzznet, and their pieces will be promoted prominently on the site to a massive audience.
And for all our British friends, we certainly haven’t forgotten about you….we’ll be giving you a similar opportunity for the Season 5 launch of Skins on 1/27…so stay tuned for more details!!
