BUBBLEGOTH is Coming!

“Integrity. Love. And unity. Moonchildren, prepare to take over the universe.”

These are the first words spoken in Kerli’s newest music video for her newly realeased single, “Army of Love“. And if you love Kerli as much as I do, you probably also got chills at the sound of her voice.

Bubblegoth is coming.” says the twenty-three year old Estonian pop star.

Kerli took us on a journey to her homeland Estonia and showed us what pure magic really looks like. In this video you’ll find unicorns, fairies, magical forests, stuffed bears, and of course, Moonchildren.

The unicorn represents innocence (source).

With her whimsical dance moves, flowing white hair and a smile on her face, Kerli puts all of her energy into singing the chorus: “We’d love to love to love ya!”

Kerli said herself that this song is a “Moonchild anthem”. (Moonchildren are what Kerli calls her fanbase – they’re people who “belong to a community of integrity, love and unity”. Source. If you’ve met a Moonchild, you will notice that they tend to say “I.L.U.” at the end of their messages. This stands of integrity, love and unity, I love you, and Ilu means “beauty” in Estonian.)

The video features Kerli’s self made Bubblegoth mascot, which is a bear with a gas mask. He is yet to be named. (Being held by the girl on Keril’s right)

Kerli tells us that she made most of the costumes herself. She released five webisodes before the video came out, giving us all a taste of what Army of Love would look like.

To me, the song + video is more than just pretty magic and white bears. It means calling out to all of the world and stating that you’re ready to love everyone. It shows us what it really means to be a Moonchild. I’m so proud of Kerli for coming out of all her darkness and giving us this amazing gift.

The most exciting part of the video? The ending words:

“To Be Continued..”

Are you ready for Bubblegoth?
