30 Seconds to Mars to Release Sexual Video

This Sunday, 30 Seconds to Mars claimed the VMA for Best Rock Video for their epic short film Kings and Queens. And it already sounds like they’re making a move for next year’s awards as they’ve announced that fans will see a video for the song “Hurricane.”

But, wait. Wait. Aren’t we STILL waiting on the video for “This Is War?” Jared, Shannon and Tomo have been teasing us with clips from it for MONTHS now and we still haven’t seen the finished product. And the last thing we heard from Jared about “This Is War” was ” ‘This Is War’ is the first video that I let someone else direct, and let’s just say we won’t be doing that again anytime soon. It’s a work in progress. We’re still working on it, and it’s like we’re waiting for the kidney … it’s on the helicopter, on ice, and as soon as we get it, we’re going to rush to surgery.”

Well, at the VMAs, Jared told MTV that we’ll FINALLY be seeing that video pretty soon, to be quickly followed up by the video for “Hurricane.” Which, I’ll admit, I’m looking forward to more than “This Is War.” And not just because “Hurricane” is one of my favorite songs off of the album.

Oh no. It’s also because Jared described the video as “very, very, very, very sexual.” Which, you know, makes sense. “Hurricane” is a pretty damn sexy song. I also would have accepted a sexy video for “Stranger in a Strange Land.”

While we wait, patiently (yeah, right) for the new 30 Seconds to Mars vids, tell me, Buzznet, what is your favorite video from the group? As much as I truly love “Kings and Queens,” which Buzznet’s own Mark appears in (if you haven’t already seen his great behind the scenes shots, go look at them right now), I have to say my favorite is probably “The Kill.”
