Little Hope for Gay Rights?

I cannot understand why it’s so hard to give Homosexuals the same Civil Rights as everyone else in the US.

Tackling Gay Marriage? We can’t even get Gays in the Military still!

Correct me if im wrong, but as citizens abiding by the same laws and paying taxes like everyone else should give Gays the same Rights as anyone else?

Here are the Facts about Gays and the Military:

– 1,312 members of the Knights Templar were burned at the stake for same-sex afairs.– In 1916 the United States officially prohibited homosexulity in the Military.– In 1993, President Bill Clinton bars Gays from serving openly with the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy. – In 2000, Gays are allowed to serve in the British Military. 25 other countries also granted the same rights. – In 2003, Nine Linguists – including Arabic speakers – were discharged for their sexuality, leaving many to wonder what effect that could have on National Security.

I thought there was supposed to be a seperation of church and state in this country. No such thing.
