Who’s on Board for Pirates of the Caribbean 4?
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be released in theaters on May 20th, 2011and some of the original cast have decided not to return in the new film.
Elizabeth and Will will not be in any more of the ‘Pirates’ movies.
While Knightley and Bloom wont be around, Depp and Rush carry on their roles as Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbosa.
The fourth installment is loosely based on the 1987 pirate novel by Tim Powers.The book, ‘On Stranger Tides’, is about a young man named Jack (coincidence?) who is captured by the pirate Blackbeard and forced to join in the search for the Fountain of Youth.
Also departing from the ‘Pirates’ series is director Gore Verbinski who directed the first three films.
“Chicago” and “Nine” director Rob Marshall has stepped up to the plate.
