Want a Chance to See Muse Perform at the VMAs?

The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards are creeping up on us slowly but surely. And we’ve finally got a list of performers, including Taylor Swift, Pink, Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Pink and, making their US television debut, Muse.

And MTV is making sure Muse gets to do their debut in full style. Because Muse will be getting their own venue to perform in, rather than perform at Radio City Music Hall. This is much like what was done with Linkin Park’s performance of “Bleed It Out” at the 2007 VMAs. But this means Muse has an entire audience to fill…and they want to invite their New York City fans to get in on it.

Want in? Go here and request free tickets, being sure to type in “VICTORIOUS” in the comment box. And there’s a few things to keep mind: you have to be at least 18 with valid ID, and they’re asking that all participants appear to be between the ages of 18 and 25 (this IS for MTV, after all). No wearing solid white, but no wearing loud patterns either, as neither shows up well on camera. Oh, and they suggest you wear comfortable shoes, too!

But, if you get in, you get to hear Muse for free, a chance to be on camera at the VMAs AND Muse has said they might even throw in a few extra songs for their loyal fanbase.

And a HUGE “Thank you” to the guys from Lights Resolve for tipping me off on this via their Twitter!
