Sassy is No Match for Cyst-y: Cobra Starship Reschedules 2 Shows
We were all holding our breath when Gabe Saporta announced that, despite being diagnosed with cysts on his vocal chord (“which is like a calloused blister or some other gross shit,” according to Gabe) Cobra Starship would NOT be putting the Sassyback Tour on hold. Fans were warily excited, torn between wanting to see Cobra as well as tour mates Forever the Sickets Kids, but also worried about Gabe’s voice and health. Especially considering Cobra are set to head back into the studio to record a follow up to last year’s epic Viva La Cobra.
The tour had been more than Sassy enough to live up to its name, but nothing gold can last forever. Not even with the backing of a mystical space Cobra from the future. Cobra Starship has announced on their official MySpace that, despite Gabe saving his voice and having Ryland Blackinton (“Ry-Ry”) cover some of his vocals, Gabe’s cysts have caused them to reschedule two shows.

Leave your “Get Wells” for Gabe in the comments! Reassure him that he’s not a diva. Or, ya know, tell him he is, but that’s what you love about him! And let him know that there’s nobody we’d rather go to hell with than him. And if you’re really concerned, come pledge yourself to The Church of Hot Addiction. Hey, it couldn’t hurt, right?
And if you’re that desperate for the soothing and scintillating sounds of Saporta, don’t forget that you can add Cobra Starship to your Buzznet Music Player.
